The Blackberry Storm gives several font options to choose from but some of them may not be the ones you like. There are apps that can change the font but not all of them offer options like the Font Master by S4BB Limited, this app was especially made for the Blackberry Strom devices.

The fonts will only appear when they have been installed. this means that the app has to be downloaded then installed, then the fonts in the app have to be installed again, then only those will appear under the options screen/keyboard options.

The options that this app offers is Blur, Blurrr Letters, Bo Chen, Chamignon Alt Swash, Dufay, Fifa, Gears of Peace, Jacked, LDR, Mucha, Old Print, Paper Cuts, Perfect Dark Zero, Rune Scape, Taper, Vavont, Vipond, Yapix.

There is also an option that allows preview, so if you son’t like the font then you don’t have to install it.

The catch is that it the Blackberry Storm has to have an OS system of 6.0.0 or it won’t work, to get the latest OS then use the Balckebrry Desktop Manager to back up if desired then update the OS system. If you use Blackberry Protect for back ups, then the applications won’t be backed up, just the memos, tasks, bookmarks etc.

I havent’ got OS 6.0.0 so I can’t say much but if you get the chance to try this out then let us know how it worked out for you.

I often make mistakes such as hiding pictures and then somehow I can’t get it back. I guess its time for me to learn with you as well.

To actually hide the images, you have to go to the image property and then hide it. the solution can be tricky as it was a mystery to me as well at the beginning. Follow the steps after the break.

Step 1:

Go to media under the menu.

Step 2:

Click the BB icon.

Step 3:

Go to explore.

Step 4:

Go to the picture directory, in other words, go to where the picture is stored.

Step 5:

Click the BB icon again.

Step 6:

Click on show hidden.

This will only happen if you have hidden an image under any folder. At some stages, when you have unhidden the image, it will say checked but the picture won’t appear, now you have to go to your service provider or to Blackberry as there hasn’t been a response from Blackberry to solve that issue.

This solution isn’t just for a particular Blackberry Storm, this is even valid for the Curve, Bold and Storm devices of all kinds, from just american to the rest of them.

As noted above, the advanced users may know this as this is a bit technical. Please be-careful when performing this as it may damage your device and that if the device is under a company or you are using BES, the IT policy will be self-restored and cannot be deleted.

This is only useful when you are selling your personal Blackberry to another person, if the IT policy isn’t removed, it may limit the usage of the Blackberry Storm. Before you do this, please use Windows OS on your PC, I cannot do it as I am a Linux user.

Follow these steps and remove the IT policy from your Blackberry Storm device:

Step 1:

Connect the Blackberry Storm via USB to your PC.

Step 2:

Go to Start, Run and type cmd which should show the command prompt.

Step 3:

Type the following on the command prompt “cd c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader” and click enter.

Step 4:

Now type “LOADER.exe /resettofactory” with the capitals at the appropriate place and press enter.

This will wipe everything including the back ups performed but if a back up is performed via the Desktop Manager, the IT policy will be restored upon restoring after the given steps. This has been done with RIM’s authorized software which takes up to 20 minutes but you can use JL_Cmder which can take up to a minimum of 5 hours.

JL_Cmder is third party therefore it may not function properly or how it is supposed to function, this isn’t recommended by The Blackberry Storm website.

Usually, when it comes about this kind of apps I’m against them because I always felt that the only things that they do is just to assault me with pop-up ads and even slow down my computer. At the same time, they were also asking me for money to improve its functionality.

I decided to talk about this app for BB because of 2 reasons. The first is its overall rate namely 4/5 stars which is pretty unexpected for me. The only thing that that means is that it actually really works and at the same time, it does what it’s supposed to do pretty well. The second thing is that at this time, you have %70 off which makes you a discount from $9.99 to $2.99 which is quite a big discount but this also means that they had quite a big success with this app and they want to celebrate that.

No, this app is not magic because there are some people that really think it is. This app helps your BlackBerry to manage your BB’s memory usage a lot better and that’s the way it makes your phone to work a lot faster.

As I said, at this time the app costs $2.99 and you can buy it from here.

This Orion Theme for Blackberry Storm is more than amazing, I love it so much since I saw just a screenshot with its home screen because at BB theme, the best looking part at it is the home screen.

One of the things that I like at this phone is that you can find a shortcut to twitter on the home screen. I saw this feature at few BB themes so it’s a plus for this theme.

Probably the most important thing that makes this theme to look so awesome is the color palette. It makes this theme to feel warm, delicious, futuristic.

I think they worked a little more at this theme than at the othere themes but they did an awesome job. If you ask me, this is the best thee that they ever designed.

I also like the little animations that they added to this theme which again, it’s another plus for it. The weather slot is also very well integrated in the home screen; I can even say that it helps improving the look of this theme.

Just look at the preview video attached to this post and you will convince yourself about how cool is this theme. You can buy it for $6.99 from here.

As I said, a lot of people took advantage about the South Africa Word Cup which became a really big international brand. Also with this world cup the vuvuzela became a big brand so there are quite a lot of mobile phone apps, ringtones, wallpapers and so on about the vuvuzela and so is this app that we’re going to talk about.

There are not too many things to talk about the Vuzuzela application so I’ll be able to say anything that can be said about it. The design isn’t so detailed but at the same time, it doesn’t even need a detailed design. Well, the design has in the background a soccer field and then it’s the vuvuzela. You get to choose how you want to be colored the vuvuzela because in the footer of the app there are some squares which contain different colors so if you tap one, the vuvuzela will get that color on it.

To get the unique vuvuzela sound, just tap on it. A nice thing at this app is that you can set it as your ringtone while other apps with the vuvuzela didn’t get this feature. The app is free and it can be downloaded from here.

Some Blackberry Storm phone related problems may sound but there are still some people who don’t know the solution so that’s why I put them in this post.

1) Q: Now I’m using a BlackBerry Storm 1 9500 from Globe Telecom and I asked them if they will also be promoting or marketing the Storm 2 and they said they won’t do that. Can I safely use a BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 on the same network?

A: The answer is yes, if you heard something that it will work properly only in Europe or something like that, well it’s wrong. It has been tested and it works perfectly.

2) Q: How can I type international characters in e-mails and / or text messages?
A: You have to hover over the character you want to choose an alternate character from and hold it couple of seconds and the alternate characters should appear.

3) Q: Suddenly, the only things I can hear from my Storm is voicemail and when I call somebody; what should I do?
A: You should remove your battery, wait about 30 seconds and then turn on your Storm.

4) Q: How can I reset my Storm 9530 so that I can wipe all information on it?
A: Go to Options > Security options > General settings > click the menu key > Wipe Handled.

Are you a big soccer fan? Do you enjoy watching the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa? Are you a Storm owner? Well, you should definitely read this article and get this game.

A lot of people took advantage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and made a lot of personalized stuff with it like wallpapers, themes, apps and as you see, a Storm game.

I’m sure that at least once you thought that a soccer team made a mistake and they could do it right. Well, this is your chance to be that team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa on your Blackberry Storm!

As the description of this game says, you can choose from 105 international teams so you can play as your own country or any other country you want. You are also able to choose one of the “3 energized stadiums” to play a match.

The developer also released a video with the gameplay for this game which reveals the brilliant graphics. There are also a lot of elements from the regular soccer PC games and it looks very easy to play.
