StormOTA, a website that has Blackberry Storm apps is claiming that they have a leaked version of BBM which it is only available for Blackberry Storm users that have OS 6.0. The leaked version can only be downloaded from your Blackberry Storm device but StormOTA has mentioned several times that they don’t claim any functionality of any app found on their website.

No user reviews are seen on the blog itself or on the web, the 66 down-loaders seem happy since no complaints have been noted. StormOTA doesn’t provide any screenshots of the app.

Some users may prefer to stay with the BBM version that RIM provides by default with the devices, it would be better as to using the leaked version – leaked versions can cause problems such as device not starting up. If you like to play around with your device like me, then you’ll know of all the possible dangers.

It isn’t necessary to have OS 6.0 to have the latest default BBM version on your device, at times RIM provides updates fast but then for some reason stops. With the outage that RIM had a couple of weeks ago, BBM isn’t experiencing as much problems as it was before the outage.

Many users have downloaded the Blackberry App World 3.0 on their Storm devices but as till today, no official bugs and reports have been noticed on the official forums or other websites. The new sleek design that it brings makes it easy to navigate for some users, with a new detailed My World, it is easier to see some information.

The App World still has the same restrictions, if an app isn’t available in your country then it won’t be shown. A new addition to the change log is that the user has access to “App Social Sharing”. The App World was previously in the Beta Zone, which then also showed no bugs.

The HTC Wildfire is already confirmed to receive the BBM service but not all of the Android devices were to receive it. Rumors suggest that the Blackberry Messenger shall be released in the end of Q2 for Android devices as well as the iOS is scheduled to receive a newer clone rather than the original stuff.

The edition for Android won’t be the same as the broadcasting (finally, no more spam) shall be removed as well as sending files. If this service is to be offered for the candidates, it means that the BIS shall also be available for the devices.

The iOS BBM shall be revealed later towards 2012, if you believe what rumors say. Maybe Blackberry will adopt these platforms but Steve Jobs may not be up for it, neither will Google as they don’t need it. It makes more sense if Google bought the Blackberry Messenger.

There are other alternatives to this, Google and Apple can create other services such as this but to attract the Blackberry consumers shall be a mission.

Blackberry Storm and Storm 2 owners have one more thing to be sad of apart from the latest buzz about the ban on Blackberry services in some countries. And the bad news is, the phones can not be upgraded to the latest OS 6.0. This is because both these phones, apparently, wont work properly with the OS 6.0 due to their SurePress screens. Storm 2, which is not even an year old, still cant have the latest OS working on it.

Blackberry is preparing its third version of Storm, the Storm 3. The device would feature kinetic scrolling incorporated into a new user interface. The device is to be launched by year end. There is a picture of a slide taken in a very private presentation held by the company regarding the same. Engadget has reported this and has presented the pic on its site.

As can be seen from a blurry slide above, the phone has been codenamed as Odin Refresh. The device will feature BlackBerry OS 6.0 which has kinetic scrolling and multi touch. Other details of the specs include webkit browser, 512MB of RAM, upto 32GB expandable storage, 3G Mobile Hotspot, Wi-Fi 802.11n, 5MP cam and its a world edition. With the 3G Mobile Hotspot feature, you can turn your device into a 3G hotspot so that other 3G enabled devices can access the network by connecting through your device. This is much similar to the feature offered by Android 2.2. With an improved 5MP cam, I suppose, will also come the ability to record videos in HD. This will be necessary for the device to be in the market as other players in this class have already rolled out versions with HD video recording. Nothing much can be said until the device is released or some more info of it is leaked.

I know we told you that the BlackBerry Slider isn’t likely to be the new Storm but we didn’t hear this coming from “RIM’s mouth” and being a touch screen phone is pretty similar to Storm 1 & 2.

I also wanted to show you these new pictures because it has the new OS on it which I talked you about in the last post.

I have to say that this phone looks pretty ugly with keyboard sight but with it closed up it looks pretty cool and it looks like the new BB OS 6 fits it very good. I read somewhere on the internet that it’s going to be the first BlackBerry with OS 6 on it but no one really knows when is this going to be available on the market.

This new BlackBerry Slider is expected to come with a touch screen but not with SurePress and a 5 MP camera with liquid lens technology (all we know is that name, we don’t really know what’s about).

I also want to tell you that this is not it’s official name or at least we’re not sure it is which makes me very curious about its final name.

There is a really new cool thing coming from RIM this time (as the Blackberry 6 OS is released) and as you can see in the title, it’s about the security of your phone. I know that there are plenty of apps about this but nothing could be better than a RIM’s product. I also read somewhere that if you’re looking for a good security phone, a BlackBerry is the perfect choice.
