Motorola Storm to get Verizon’s new Video on Demand app
Verizon is currently working it out with its FIOS services which may, in the very near future, come over to the mobile phone world. The company is planning to launch a Video on Demand app for its customers. The users can rent, watch and buy the videos. Verizon was showing off this new app and service which is intended for the FIOS subscribers only.
The videos can be rented to watch them on different computers or hand held devices, but to a maximum of five. This means that you can play the rented video on five devices. You can get these videos either directly from you TV set top boxes or download it from Verizon’s website. The choice remains yours.
The app will be out sometime during the end of the year. But Verizon is not planning to implement the new app on all its devices. Verizon will release the app only on some devices, and BlackBerry Storm is one of the few devices. A few other non-BlackBerry devices are also getting the app. But its good on Verizon‘s part to consider BlackBerry Storm as a potential for multimedia content. Storm users can finally enjoy some quality multimedia services.
