BlackBerry 6 OS
I have to say that I get pretty excited when a new Blackberry OS is launched because the way you see the Storm will be different after the Blackberry 6 OS will be launched.
At the moment we don’t know what devices will support the new OS but I’m almost 100% sure that at least the BlackBerry Storm 2 will get it because as you can see in these two videos, it is presented to come with touch screen support.
There are a lot of new things at it including multi touch support with pinch zoom which is awesome to have on any touch screen phone, a new HTML5 capable web browser, a new media interface which is pretty similar to the iPod from iPhone. A new cool feature which should be there from a long time ago is the universal search feature. I also love the thing that they added social networking integration to messaging. It also comes with a prettier homescreen.
Most of these features came to make save your time and they also make you enjoy a lot more your BlackBerry Storm 2. Another thing which comes with the new Blackberry 6 OS and I think it should be found on any smartphone is the fluid graphical transitions and pop-up context menus. All of the new features can be seen in the videos from this post.

This does really look good, but it better be sooner than later. It does have the more graphical look that is badly needed to compete with phones like the iPhone and Droid. But they have been out many years and this is just now occuring. It really needs to come out by Fall 2010. If this is in 2011, its going to be too late for me to stick around.
