Update: Blackberry Slider Isn’t Likely To Be Storm 3

I really hoped that the Blackberry Slider, now known as the Blackberry Bold 9800, was going to be actually the Blackberry Storm3. But now everything points towards the Slider being a Bold device, not a Storm. However, the Slider is in fact a touchscreen smartphone. It also has the trackpad, but we think that will be something like in Android devices were you occasionally use it to scroll when moving your finger across the screen seems like too much work. So now that we know it is not the Storm3, we still think it is cool! I mean, it is a touchscreen device just like the Storm, but also has the amazing physical QWERTY keyboard, a combination from heaven. Below is the Bold 9800 running the brand new webkit based web browser, which as you can see got a 100% on the acid3 test! Can’t wait to get my hands on the 9800..

If the device does come out, we’ll probably purchase it from dialphone, if you’re interested, click here for more information.
