Blackberry Storm3: Could Be The Leaked Slider

I have to say that the Blackberry ”Slider” leaked some days ago has a very strange form factor. It looks like it is a device that works with the trackpad, but at the same time it has a gigantic screen that perfectly could be a touchscreen. This new Slider appears to be a Bold device, meaning that touchscreen would not be (at least) the main input meth0d for the user. However, some sources have pointed that the Slider could be the Blackberry Storm3, or just Storm as Blackberry possibly will drop the numbers because after 2 is just ridiculous to continue calling them by number, it is understood it is a new generation.

So if this is the Blackberry Storm3 we are looking at a pretty sweet device. This Blackberry has a full physical QWERTY keyboard, but the most interesting part is that will run the new Blackberry OS 6.0, which by what we saw on the intro videos released by RIM is a mainly touchscreen interface. Lets wait and see what happens!

Why would they release a new Storm with a completely different design. The only thing this phone would have in common with the Storm 1 and 2 is a touch screen…thats pretty dumb they’d be better off naming it something else. Especially if they want people with the Storm 2 to not feel shafted that they have the “old” version even if they might not want a full keyboard or any physical buttons.
