Blackberry Storm Tips and Tricks: Use Speed Dial On Your Blackberry Storm2 and Storm

Most people would think that a touchscreen device like the Blackberry Storm doesn’t have Speed Dial, but yes, the Storm2 and Storm both have Speed Dial functions. I recently discovered them to be honest, it took me a while because I normally don’t use this function, anyway I still wanted to share how to set it up. Is really simple, just follow this steps:

1. Press the Green button, you will be taken to the phone app of the Storm

2. Press the BB Menu and click ”Options”

3. Now Speed Dial Numbers

4. Now assign a number to each space

So how does it work? When you open the phone and long press a number, the phone will call that person that you previously assigned the number to. Is very useful since scrolling through a list of contacts on touchscreen devices is rarely quick and simple. The feature is really nice, it was quite hidden though, took me luck and a long time to figure this one out.

I have never disliked a product so much that I went searching for blogs to write about my frustration. The storm phone freezes on me on average 5-7 times each day. The most frustrating is when it is back to back. I don’t understand why I am only offered a “refurbished” phone. Everyone knows all that means is they give you someone else’s broken phone. I had a Razor for three years and never had a problem. I don’t know anyone that has a Storm and doesn’t complain about how slow it is, or how often it freezes–even with the updated software. Bottom line, don’t sell phones that aren’t ready for the market and don’t work!
