There are two ways to use your Storm as a flashlight, the first one you can use the Flash LED of the Storm as a flashlight, and the second one you can use the screen as a flashlight. The problem with the LED Flash application is that it consumes battery faster, so the  second one is better unless you need serious lightning. So here are the two methods to use your Storm as a flashlight:

This method offers more light since it is coming from the powerful LED Flash, but it will drain the battery faster. It is not an actual software or application, is more of a trick since Blackberry does not allow programers to play with the LED Flash. Just go to the Video Camera application and the ”settings”, select to power ON the flash at all times, now, each time you start the video camera app, the Storm will keep the Flash ON as long as yoou need it.

So there you go! Two methods to use yourr Blackberry Storm as a flashlight and torch to light your way! Great when camping, or when arriving late to the movies and need to sit without tripping over.
