Blackberry Storm: Over 1 Million Served
Wow, really impressive. Today the Verizon people announced the amazing fact that the Blackberry Storm has sold 1 Million devices! And this is just in the USA with Verizon! This amazing quantity of Storms sold proves that the iphone is not the only hot and best seller phone as many would think.
The Storm sales were first slow because of rumours on the software, some people and overall reports said that the Storm came with a bad software and was not a quality product, but later with the new firmware everything improved and the Storm sales went UP!. I just have to say, congrats RIM! You made a great smartphone and Blackberry!

How can you be impressed with the Storm? Did you use this dumb phone at all. I had the BlackBerry storm for a little over a month and since then it reboothed like ten times and I keep getting a java exception error. The quality of this phone sucks. This product should have never been released. I think the only reason anyone including myself bought the dumb berry was because it’s on the Verizon network and the advertisement.

The unit I got did not have any of the problems you mention above, besides the Storm has gotten better with updates.

You should keep it, Verizon and BB are working on an update that will solve all problems. Believe me, all first release phones have problems.

And what if the software updates doesn’t resolve the problems your stuck with the phone for 2 years. It’s going on a month for me, and the jury is still out. It still has a way to go before calling it great. The phone is looking like a windows based phone with all the bugs and reboots.

There is more of the probability that there will be a new firmware than it will not. But if a new firmware comes up it should theoretically fix all the problems for the Storm.

I had a lot of problems to. But I took the time to search the web for new/ unofficial update and now my phone runs 10 times faster with no reboots or lags. I run on os 4.7.0.99 not 4.7.0.75 and love my phone now. Look it up on google and you should fine a link to download it. Trust me its well worth it!

the phone is great and works fine I’ve had it for 2 months now. no probs. and my family just got 4 more of them they love it!
