Tip: Fix the Click of your Storm’s Screen
At our BlackBerry Storm forum section C15JON shared with us a great trick to fix the click on the Storm’s screen. The problem is that some users reported that their Blackberry Storm was not producing the click on the corners of the screen. And that is very annoying because without the feedback you are not sure if you pressed it or not. Anyway with the video tutorial that C15JON posted at our forum section you can fix that problem! The fix seems a little weird but what is more weird is that almost everybody that tried this trick told us that it worked, here is the video for you to see: Thanks C15JON!

It works… I used a business card and trimmed to fit (no folds)… placed the battery back… and yeah… it works. Thanks for making the video.

This does work great, used a post it note and folded it inhalf and trimmed to fit. Its got just enough adhesive that it doesn’t fall out when hard resetting the phone. In adition I found that increasing the touch screen sensitivity made it much more usable.

Great fix. I used a business card and cut it to size. Put a little glue from a glue stick to hold it in place, verified this wont hurt the device, and it works like a charm. Make sure to not block your 4 point battery connection.

I have a BlackBerry Storm 1 and it got sand under the screen, which has happened before, so I used a sewing needle to clean sand around the screen so it would click down, which I have also done before. but as I wiggled the pin across the bottom of the screen across the buttons the screen all of a sudden went black. Sometimes you can see faint navy blue lines going horizontally across. It is still vibrating and recieving messages, and the notification light still works. Help!

When i placed it in the middle it didn’t work for me. I had to trim my card to about half the size as the one in the video and slide to one side for it to work. I tested it by applying pressure where the battery rest with my finger to find where to place the card.
Thanks a lot it works great again.

It isn’t always the problem of the software or anything like that but rather the problem of the screen underneath the touchscreen.
