You maybe use more data, if you are extremely short on battery you could turn the 3G off.

1st set to off, and location aiding disabled. Dont let the internet browser running and set the email retrieval to off, also, dont let you navigation GPS , google maps etc.. running. Low your screen brightness in settings, if this does not work you probably got a defective uniit

Mark Lewsey, you're borish and very rude. I wouldn't respond to you either. Stop playing games on your Storm all day long, get a job, and your battery life will drastically improve! And when you want help from someone, DON'T USE CAPITAL LETTERS!

Thanks for the great tip. I did notice the symbol but never paid any mind to it. So I'm sure it did have the waves pointing to the right. When not using it. I also did have the GPS aiding enabled. Thanks for help. Will spread the news to other STORM users!!

Right I am confused! I just received from Vodafone and am very happy about from the shocking battery life!!

I don't have the GPS symbol on the home screen, but my battery is driaing so only can assume it is on. However, I have followed the steps outlined but my Storm doesn't have the info you have detailed. I have three choices:

GPS Data Source (can't change anything here)
GPS Services (choices are location off or on)

Location aiding (choices are enabled, disabled and disabled while roaming)

There is NO E911 only - which I presume refers to the American 911 Emergency Services??!!

Either way I have made changed what I can to location off and disabled and STILL my battery is drained and requires 2 charges per day!

Please help me.......
