BlackBerry Storm ”Aplication Center”

Iphone has ”App Store”, G1 has ”App Market”, Nokia was a little bit more authentic and called it ”Download!” (Although It sucks), now what will our Storms have?? There are millions of apps out there, but still there is not any client that gathers them up in one place.

Apparently the ”App Center” ,  will distribute 3rd party software in the OS4.7.  But the App Center will contain apps hosted by carriers, meaning that some of the interesting apps will not be there.  And you know carriers, they tend to get their hands in your wallet pretty easily.  So where will you have all those magnificent apps gathered?  You are in the right place!! The BlackBerry Storm blog will bring you every app, and every program for your Storm daily.  So keep cheking back to get exciting apps for your Storm!!

This blog seems great. I can’t find themes for the storm as well. I bought the storm at 5am for me and my wife, its fantastic and we love it although can’t find jack for it. Anyone find anything out yet?

  4. Edward Umana Says:

Thanks Jason!! Glad you like the blog!
This happens when a new platform is released, in the first couple of weeks there is only a bunch of apps.
But don’t worry, we will bring you apps and themes for your storms as soon as available.

I have found a few good apps that work for the Storm, Facebook, Google Maps, are two that I have started using regularly.  I hear that Flycast also works, but im holding out for slacker who had a press reledase saying they would be making an app for the Storm.  I’ll be trying myspace and urbanspoon later today.

  6. Mark Says:

no luck with urbanspoon, all it did was send me back to the website

  7. Tommy Says:

My apps: Myspace, Facebook, Google Maps, Opera Mini, Flycast, TalkLock(locks your screen when on the phone so you dnt press a button with your cheek), Youtube, EA Mobile Wiget, & BerryStore. They all work perfectly fine. I’m running on OS 4.7.0.86

  16. Smokotoks Says:

What is berry store? Is it like an App store for our BBs? Crackberry has an app store that is similar to the Iphone one, but I cant seem to make the apps specific to my storm.

  17. Angelique Says:

i love my storm…apps to get are…berry torch(flashlight that just turns the screen white), google maps, you tube, flycast, weatherbug, stormSketch (etch-a-sketch for storm), stormpiano, and stormlock that locks the keypad. its better than talklock as talklock eventually started blocking my view of incoming calls.
